Profession Powerleveling

World of Warcraft Blacksmithing Guide 1-450
Blacksmithing is a great profession, and for some classes it would be a very wise decision to make blacksmithing their profession.

Mining should definitely be taken as your second profession if you decide to be a blacksmith because it will save you a lot of gold. Leveling blacksmithing is quite expensive even if you are a miner and doing it without it will costs you thousands of additional gold.

Blacksmithing would be a perfect choice, especially for the plate users and melee DPS classes since most of the goodies that can be made only have a purpose for these classes.

It must also be sad that the best craftable and usable items come in the end. Even though you might find some armors, items and weaponry that you are able to craft while you level worth equipping to boost your character a bit.

Most of you probably know you need a Blacksmith Hammer to craft items and that most items can only be crafted at a forge. Forges can be found in all the major cities though, as well as in many smaller villages.

We made this guide especially for the people that would like to minimize their costs and effort while leveling their blacksmithing profession.

You will also notice that at one point you will be able to choose between becoming a weaponsmith, and then be able to choose from Axe, Mace and Sword smith, and an Armor smith. You will be able to redo your choice but this will be at a cost of 25G-100G, so choose wisely.

Train Apprentice Blacksmithing (1-75):

You can learn Apprentice Blacksmithing in every major city and in some minor villages like Goldshire and Karanos. You will also be able to train new blacksmithing plans and learn new ranks of blacksmithing at these trainers.

* 30-65 Rough Grinding Stone

It’s time to go to Northrend now to continue your Blacksmithing.

Alliance Blacksmith trainers can be found in Valgarde in the Howling Fjord, at Valliance Keep in the Borean Tundra and in Frosthold, in Stormpeak.

The Blacksmith trainers for the Horde in Northrend can be found at Vengeance Landing in the Howling Fjord, and at Venomspite and Agmar’s Hammer in Dragonblight.

Of course, both Horde and Alliance can find a Blacksmith trainer in Dalaran as well.

Train Master Blacksmithing (375-450):

* 350-360 Cobalt Belt
* 360-370 Cobalt Bracers
* 370-375 Cobalt Helm
* 375-415 Reinforced Cobalt Chestpiece
The Plan: Reinforced Cobalt Chestpiece can be found in the Sholazar Basin. It drops from Goblin Excavators north of The Suntouched Pillar.
* 375-415 Reinforced Cobalt Chestpiece
* 415-420 Deadly Saronite Dirk
* 420-430 Daunting Handguards
* 430-435 Savage Saronite Hauberk
* 435-450 Daunting Legplates

This is a cheap way to max out your Blacksmithing profession. It must be said that the last 10 levels or so can be a bit nasty because you will only slowly gain levels. Luckily, the Daunting Legplates are relatively cheap to craft.

World of Warcraft Jewelcrafting Guide

Jewelcrafting can be both a profitable and a useful profession for any class in World of Warcraft. You can learn to create many rings and necklaces which can be more difficult to come by at lower levels, as well as some cloth head armor and trinkets that only the Jewelcrafter can use.

It should be noted that, because Jewelcrafting was introduced with the Burning Crusade expansion, you cannot learn the profession in the basic cities of Azeroth. You will need to visit a Burning Crusade city, like Exodar or Silvermoon City. You can talk to any guard to locate the Jewelcrafting trainer.

This is just a nice quick overview to increase your alchemy skill. For an in-depth guide that also includes gold making as well, take a look at this WoW profession guide.

It's helpful and less expensive to train in Mining for your 2nd profession, but it may not be necessary if you already have a character that is a miner or if you have the gold to buy your materials at the Auction House.

Jewelcrafting Apprentice (up to 50)

With 60-100 Copper Bars, you can create 30-50 Delicate Copper Wire and attain 30-40 Jewelcrafting skill points. Then you can use some of that Delicate Copper Wire you've created, along with 20-25 Tigerseye, to create Tigerseye Bands. Or you can use 20-25 Malachite and your Delicate Copper Wire to create Malachite Pendants. Or choose any combination of both items, which you can put on the Auction House.

Jewelcrafting Journeyman (up to 125)

You should have atleast attained a Jewelcrafting skill of 50 by crafting Tigerseye Bands and/or Malachite Pendants, but possibly up to 70. You can now create 20-30 Bronze Settings using 40-60 Bronze Bars. With another 80 Bronze Bars you can make 20 Solid Bronze Rings to reach 100 Jewelcrafting, otherwise you can use Silver. With 70 Silver Bars you can craft 10 Elegant Silver Rings and then 30 Rings of Silver Might. Either method can help you reach 100, possibly 110 Jewelcrafting. Simple Pearl Rings can also be crafted with Lustrous Pearls, Bronze Settings, and Copper Bars to reach 110.

To reach 125, you can create 15 Rings of Twilight Shadows with 30 Bronze Bars and 30 Shadowgem. Or you can make Heavy Stone Statues with Heavy Stone and then use Bronze Settings and Moss Agate to craft Pendant of the Agate Shield.

Jewelcrafting Expert (up to 200)

After training for Expert Jewelcrafting, you can possibly level to 150 by making more Pendant of the Agate Shield. Or you may use 54 Iron Bars, 27 Jade, and 27 Bronze Settings to create 27 Heavy Jade Rings to level from 125 to 150 Jewelcrafting.

You can use 50-60 Mithril Bars and create 25-30 Mithril Filigree to reach 170 or 180 (or possibly 185 using 80 Mithril Bars). You can then use that Mithril Filigree and some Truesilver Bars to make Engraved Truesilver Rings and reach 200.

Jewelcrafting Artisan (up to 275)

You may use Citrine Ring of Rapid Healing (1 Citrine, 2 Elemental Water, 2 Mithril Bars) to reach 210, possibly 225. Aquamarine Signets (3 Aquamarine, 4 Flask of Mojo) can also level you to 225. Alternatively, you can craft Aquamarine Pendant of the Warrior to get these points.

Then you can make 50-60 Thorium Settings (each requires 1 Thorium Bar) to get your skill up to around 250 or 255. You can then use some of those Thorium Settings, along with plenty of Star Ruby to craft Ruby Pendant of Fire; it's possible to reach 275 this way.

From about 260 Jewelcrafting you can also craft 20 Simple Opal Rings to reach 275 or 280.

Jewelcrafting Master (up to 375)

From about 280, you can craft Sapphire of Winter Night to reach 300 (1 each Powerful Mojo, Thorium Setting, Essence of Earth). Otherwise you can create Onslaught Rings (1 each Blue Sapphire, Thorium Setting, Essence of Undeath). From 290 to 300 you can also make Emerald Lion Rings (2 Huge Emerald and 1 Thorium Setting each).

At 300 you can begin to cut gems for your skill points, here are the basic gems you may want to cut to continue leveling your Jewelcrafting.

To 305 – Brilliant Golden Draenite, Radiant Deep Peridot, Glowing Shadow Draenite, Flame Spessarite, Solid Azure Moonstone, or Teardrop Blood Garnet.

To 315 – Jagged Deep Peridot, Bold Blood Garnet, Bright Blood Garnet, or Sparkling Azure Moonstone.

To 325 – Glinting Flame Spessarite

To 355 – Sovereign Shadow Draenite, Smooth Golden Draenite, or Rigid Golden Draenite. (You can also create Mercurial Adamantite to help you reach 355 and use it to attain 375 later.)

To 365 – Purified Shadow Pearl

To 375 – You can cut rare (blue) gems until you reach 375, or you can try to attain it by crafting 11 Khorium Band of Leaves (22 Khorium Bars, 44 Mercurial Adamantite, 33 Primal Life) or by making Figurines like Felsteel Boar (8 Felsteel Bars, 2 Blood Garnet, 4 Primal Earth) and Talasite Owl (2 Eternium Bars, 2 Talasite, 4 Primal Mana).

To get many uncommon and rare gems you can Prospect different kinds of ore. This destroys the ore, however, and you never know what you gems you might get. Beware, while prospecting is fun, it can easily become a sort of gambling habit! Good luck.

WoW Leatherworking Guide 1-375
Leatherworkers often double up with the Skinning tradeskill. They can skin beasts that they have slain and use the leather to create armor for themselves and others. Leatherworkers are able to craft an extensive amount of Epic quality armors, both Bind on Pickup and Bind on Equip. They are also able to use Drums – usable items that give short duration group buffs.

Leatherworking Specialization

At skill level 200, a Leatherworker is able to choose a specialization. The options are Elemental Leatherworking, Tribal Leatherworking, and Dragonscale Leatherworking.

This is just a nice quick overview to increase your leatherworking skill. For an in-depth guide that also includes gold making as well, take a look at this WoW profession guide.

Elemental Leatherworkers tend to craft items that increase their resists to different schools of magic. At max. skill level they can make Epic quality Belt, Bracers and Chest called “Primalstrike” that is best suited for Rogues and Feral Druids.

Tribal Leatherworkers tend to craft items with Intellect and Stamina bonuses. At max. skill level they can make Epic quality Belt, Bracers and Chest called “Windhawk” that is best suited for Balance and Restoration Druids.

Dragonscale Leatherworkers specialize in crafting Mail armor, as opposed to leather. At max. skill level they can make Epic quality Mail Belt, Bracers and Chest armor of two distinct varieties. The Ebon Netherscale armor is geared towards Hunters and Enhancement Shamans, whereas the Netherstrike armor is geared towards Elemental Shamans.

Now that you know the basics of leatherworking and what you can do with it, it's time to get started! What follows is a list of the approximate amount of materials that you will need to level leatherworking from 1-375. After that is the order of what you should make, when you should make it, and how much of it you should make. Enjoy!

World of Warcraft Alchemy Overview

Alchemy is one of the most rewarding and profitable professions. Combined with herbalism, it can help you make gold, save gold, and the items produced from it are excellent boons to any class. Leveling Alchemy is fairly straightforward. This guide is designed to help you get from 1 to 375 Alchemy as quickly, inexpensively, and efficiently as possible.

At skill level 350 (and real level 68) an alchemist my choose to master a certain aspect of alchemy. The choices for Mastery are: Elixir, Potion, and Transmutation.

This is just a nice quick overview to increase your alchemy skill. For an in-depth guide that also includes gold making as well, take a look at this WoW profession guide.

Elixir Masters gain the added privilege of being able to create multiple Elixirs and Flasks using only the materials required for one. There is no guarantee that creating an Elixir of Flask will “proc” multiples, but in the event that it does happen, it can create anywhere from 2-5 using no more materials than required for one.

Potion Masters gain the added privilege of being able to create multiple Potions using only the materials required for one. There is no guarantee that creating an Potion will “proc” multiples, but in the event that it does happen, it can create anywhere from 2-5 using no more materials than required for one.

Transmutation Masters gain the added privilege of being able to create multiple Transmutes using only the materials required for one. There is no guarantee that Transmuting something will “proc” multiples, but in the event that it does happen, it can create anywhere from 2-5 using no more materials than required for one.

Recipe Discovery is another privilege enjoyed by alchemists. Any time you use your alchemy skill for transmutes, potions, elixirs or flasks, you have a chance at randomly discovering a recipe off of a specific recipe discovery list. The official word from WoW developers is that recipe discoveries are a “perk” to the class and that there is always a chance that an alchemist will never have a discovery. There is no guarantee. They also state that it is highly unlikely an alchemist will discover more than four recipes in a lifetime. Just a little something to remember: you can't count on them!

Without further ado, on to the leveling.

WoW Engineering Guide 1-375
Engineering Overview

Engineering is the profession that will allow you to use all of the “cool toys”. Yes it is expensive to level. Yes, another profession may help you get further in PvE, but it is one of the coolest professions to have. Engineers get access to everything from Rocket Launchers, to Deathrays, to Shrinkrays, to little gadgets that turn other players into chickens (I mean, how cool is that?!). Did someone on your team die? Use Jumper Cables to resurrect them! Are you deep in an instance and need to repair your gear? Drop a repair bot! For the player that just needs to have cool tricks up their sleeve, Engineering is the way to go.

This is just a nice quick overview to increase your engineering skill. For an in-depth guide that also includes gold making as well, take a look at this WoW profession guide.

Specialization – Goblin Engineering and Gnomish Engineering

At skill level 200 an Engineer can choose whether they want to specialize in Goblin Engineering or Gnomish Engineering.

Goblin Engineers get access to all the cool bombs and guns. They have a bit of an advantage in damage done, but also have a high likelihood of hurting themselves while attempting to hurt others! If you like big bombs and big guns and living on the edge, Goblin Engineering is probably for you.

Gnomish Engineers get access to the neat toys and tricks. Gnomish engineers have a bit of an advantage in crowd control and escaping. Occasionally though, this plan can backfire having detrimental results. If you like being an unstoppable little pest with all kinds of neat tricks, Gnomish Engineering is probably for you.

Below is a guide for how to level your engineering 1-375 the quickest and easiest way possible. The material amounts needed are a close estimate. Overbuying would probably be in your best interests. In the “notes” category you will find directions on how many crafted items to save for later recipes. The rest can be sold to a vendor or on the auction house for a decent profit in many cases. Enjoy engineering, and on with the leveling!

WoW Enchanting Guide 1-375
Leveling Enchanting is generally accepted to be one of the more difficult tradeskill tasks in World of Warcraft. This guide is intended to help you make sense of the process and know in advance what you are going to need to succeed.

You gain skill points in Enchanting from two different things:

Disenchanting a green, blue, or purple item, and Enchanting your armor with the Enchants that you have learned. When you Disenchant an item it destroy that item and give you some kind of enchanting reagent.

This is just a nice quick overview to increase your enchanting skill. For an in-depth guide that also includes gold making as well, take a look at this WoW profession guide.

The reagent Disenchanting yields is dependent on the level and quality of the item being disenchanted.

Green Items typically only disenchant into the following. Occasionally they will yield a shard but its unlikely and shouldn't be counted on.

Blue items are more likely to disenchant into a shard but they are not commonly found in the world and are typically better off sold on the auction house or worn. Epic quality items will not be considered in this guide, as it is unlikely you will disenchant any of those to level.

*Note: The level requirement indications on these are not YOUR level, they are the item level of the item you are disenchanting.

Dusts and Essences

Levels 1-10: A small amount (1-3) of strange dust or a lesser magic essence.
Levels 11-15: A large amount of strange (4-5) dust or a greater magic essence.
Levels 16-20: A large amount of strange dust or a lesser astral essence.
Levels 21-25: A small amount of soul dust or a greater astral essence.
Levels 26-30: A large amount of soul dust or a lesser mystic essence.
Levels 31-35: A small amount of vision dust or a greater mystic essence.
Levels 36-40: A large amount of vision dust or a lesser nether essence.
Levels 41-45: A small amount of dream dust or a lesser eternal essence.
Levels 46-50: A large amount of dream dust or a lesser eternal essence.
Levels 51-55: A small amount of illusion dust or a greater eternal essence.
Levels 56-60: A large amount of illusion dust or a greater eternal essence.
Levels 61-65: A small amount of arcane dust or a lesser planar essence.
Levels 65-70: A large amount or arcane dust or a greater planar essence.

Shards

Levels 1-20: A small glimmering shard.
Levels 21-25: A large glimmering shard.
Levels 26-30: A small glowing shard.
Levels 31-35: A large glowing shard.
Levels 36-40: A small radiant shard.
Levels 41-45: A large radiant shard.
Levels 46-50: A small brilliant shard.
Levels 51-60: A large brilliant shard.
Levels 61-65: A small prismatic shard.
Levels 65-70: A large brilliant shard.

This guide will primarily focus on how much of each enchanting reagent you will need at every stage of enchanting to level it all the way up. The recipes required are ones that are trained from the enchanting trainer OR sold on a vendor.

As often as possible shards will not be used as they are much harder to come by. How you aquire items to disenchant is completely up to you. You will find them as quest rewards and as random drops. If you have a lot of gold you can buy them off the auction house.

What follows is the fastest tactic for leveling enchanting. It assumes that you already have all the required enchanting materials. If you're leveling enchanting while you're leveling up your character, however, obviously you aren't going to have all the required materials.

Don't worry, just disenchant the items you find and when you have a stockpile of enchanting materials, reference the guide for how best to use them to maximize your enchanting leveling.

Disenchanting the items will give you skill points as well! Below the Leveling Tactics guide you will find a list of enchanting vendors and trainers where you will learn the required recipes. Enchants marked with a * need to be purchased from a vendor.

WoW Tailoring Guide 1-375
World of Warcraft Tailoring Overview

Leveling Tailoring 1-375 is not an easy task by any stretch of the imagination. It often requires a lot of farming, a lot of patience, and more than a little work, however the rewards are worth the pain. Epic Tailored items are often considered to be some of the best pre-teir 5 gear in the game.

They are a staple for most DPS casters and healing priests. In addiction, tailors can create bags and soul bags to make everyones life easier.

This is just a nice quick overview to increase your tailoring skill. For an in-depth guide that also includes gold making as well, take a look at this WoW profession guide.

At skill level 350 a tailor can choose to "specialize" or "master" a specific type of tailoring. The options are: Shadoweave, Spellfire, and Primal Mooncloth. While all tailors can transmute all three types of cloth - shadowcloth, spellcloth, and primal mooncloth - specializing allows you to create two pieces of cloth for the material cost of one.

Shadoweave Tailors can create Bind on Pickup epic quality Chest, Feet, and Shoulder items. These items are known as Frozen Shadoweave and their damage bonuses effect Frost and Shadow damage only. If all three are worn you recieve a set bonus that causes your Frost and Shadow damage spells to heal you for 2% of the damage they deal. They can also create 28 slot Soul Bags for Warlocks. These soul bags are not Bind on Pickup and can therefore be used or sold on the auction house.

Spellfire Tailors can create Bind on Pickup epic quality Chest, Belt, and Glove items. The damage bonuses on Spellfire items effect Fire and Arcane damage only. If all three are worn you recieve a set bonus that increases your spell damage by 7% of your total Intellect. They can also craft 28 slot Enchanting Bags. These enchanting bags are not Bind on Pickup and can therefore be used or sold on the auction house.

Primal Mooncloth Tailors can craft Bind on Pickup epic quality Chest, Belt, and Shoulder items. Primal Mooncloth items give healing bonuses. If all three items are worn you will recieve a set bonus that allows 5% of your mana regeneration to continue while casting. They can also craft 20 slot bags. These bags can hold anything, are not Bind on Pickup and can therefore be used or sold on the auction house.
